In 2017 Google will reach 100% renewable energy for our global operations — including both our data centers and offices. This is a huge milestone. We were one of the first corporations to create large-scale, long-term contracts to buy renewable energy directly.
A Google spokesperson said “Our founders are convinced climate change is a real, immediate threat, so we have to do our part.”
A New Urban Wind Turbine

A French startup company called ‘Newwind’ has designed renewable energy product which resembles a tree with small wind turbines that look like leaves.
The vertical-axis designed of the small leaf turbines with a magnet assembly enabled them to start generating energy at the low wind speed threshold of 4.5 mph without any distracting sound, making them ideal for urban settings.
At a peak power of 65-watt per leaf, each tree represents an installed capacity of 3.5 kW, or the equivalent of a small home solar array:
Work Due to Start on 714 Megawatt East Anglia One

In January 2017 will see ScottishPower Renewables commence pre-construction works for East Anglia ONE, which is the first major step in constructing the offshore windfarm.
Iberdrola Engineering & Construction has been appointed to undertake engineering design and is the Principle Contractor for the pre-construction and construction works.
From January, work will start right the way along the 37km onshore cable route, from Bawdsey to Bramford. These pre-construction works are to prepare the ground and the road networks for the start of construction, planned for Spring 2017.
